Family LuauSummer is here! Let's have fun! On May 17th, 2009 AJK's hosted their fourth annual Parent Appreciation Luau at Huntington Beach Central Park! Everyone who attended said that the event was a success! The food, raffle, and bounce house were a hit! A BIG thank you to our recommended black and black belts for their terrific demonstration, as well as all TKD families who show their consistent support; especially, Mrs. Brinkman for her unwavering tournament support, Mrs. Brown for our event photography, Mrs. Henderson for the program's successful website, Sandra Wight for her dynamic teaching, and Mrs. Kinowski who handles any and all billing and program inquires.

ajk’s 9th black belt exam

On June 7th from 9 A.M. to 12 P.M., at the Carden Hall Campus, Oscar Goodell and Andy Gutierrez tested for their first degree black belts. Alexandra Brinkman, Devin Broderick, and Trent Zimmermann also tested for their second degree black belts. A BIG thank you to all who celebrated this special event with us! tournament talk

Junior OlympicsLet's wish Alexandra Brinkman the very best of luck, as she travels to Austin, Texas! Due to her brilliant success at the States and National Qualifiers, Alex now has the opportunity to compete at the 2009 Jr. Olympics in Austin, Texas this July. This will be AJK's fourth Jr. Olympics! Ms. Sandra Wight will be the residing coach at the event, and she'll be polishing Brinkman into a striking athlete.

Mr. Adam Kinowski and Ms. Sandra Wight continue to update their coaching credentials in order to service athletes better. The latest seminar, entitled: The Coach's Edge, which was hosted by the USAT, updated coaches on the newest changes in kyoroogi and nutrition. As the Taekwondo community evolves, so does AJKÕs. Go Team!!!
